This is the best time of year. NFL season starts next weekend and the Boise St vs. VT game starts in 2 hours! I just want to throw out some picks – before the games start.

    NFL

-NFC: My Seahawks are all over the place. They are rebuilding. So clearly they are not my choice in the NFC to make the superbowl. The Packers, however, are playing on a whole new level. I think the Packers will edge the Cowboys.

-AFC: One team really stand head and shoulders above the others on paper – and I really, really like them this year. The Baltimore Ravens. They have always had a ridiculous defense, which will continue with Sergio Kindle, Haloti Ngata, Terell Suggs, Ray Lewis, Josh Wilson, Ed Reed, Ken Hamlin, Coy Redding and more. What really scares people now is the offense – their OLine might be the best in the league and they have Ray Rice running behind them. Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin and TJ Houshmanzadeh on the same team is hardly fair.

College FB Im rooting for U of Washington – Jake Locker is really fucking good. Im pulling for them to make a bowl game.

Nat’l Championship: Boise State vs. Alabama

I think Boise needs a chance. It is only fair – and I think they have a chance at winning it all. My junior year in highschool we played Prosser in the second round of the playoffs. It was Kellen Moore’s senior year, and Kirby Moore’s junior year.  We played an incredible game and were tied 7-7 with seconds left. Kellen hooked up with Kirby for a game winning TD. 14 – 7 and our season was over. Now, they are both starting for Boise State, Kellen may be the best QB in the nation and Kirby starting WR. I want them to win. They are good guys, and really, it would make me feel better about our loss to them.

Thoughts? Predictions? That’s it. Above is Kirby Moore’s last minute reception against us.

Been busier than ever lately. Providing a quick update – these are things that are in the works, hopefully most, if not all, come to be soon.

    • The Taheem Acevedo experiment. This is really only an idea. Taheem was a great 4 year starter at safety for Florida Atlantic. He was in some NFL camps and starred on an Arena League team. On a gayer note he was once the “ripped athlete of the week”. My goal is to help him get back into Pro Football. (I also have two other football players I am extremely excited for, that may come train next summer)

    • GI Nutrition Mission. The supplements I have been most anticipating is now in my possession. Focus Food will help me get the best results as fast as possible. Using nothing but GI Nutrition products, a paleo-inspired diet and some hard-ass work I’m hoping to make the most impressive transformation of my life. Two things that will help me (that I haven’t had in the past): A dedicated, strong workout partner and Focus Food.

    Secret Weapon

    • Answering QnA. I know, I told you to email me…you did…and nothing has come of it. I’m sorry, but I haven’t had time and I refuse to give a halfass answer to anything really. Re-ask if you want, I’ll get to them as soon as possible.
    • New Shirts. If you ordered a (BE) RELENTLESS shirt, than you probably have it by now. They are pretty damn cool. I want to do another run, but there are still some unsold. They are all XL, which means either A) all my readers are tiny or B) all my readers like their shit extra tight. As soon as the XL’s are gone we can talk about a new design…I am always open to suggestions.
    • Moving. I need a bigger room to cover in Seahawks gear. I need a bigger garage to fill with equipment.

    BE RELENTLESS.

I haven’t updated in a while. To be frank with you guys, there are a few reasons why.

    • You people don’t get it. Some of you do, others are lazy. You rather read my post, and instead of leaving a comment here like I have asked 100 times…or even shoot me an email, you wait for me to get on facebook and then have 100 questions. Half the time I am signed on, I am working. I provide you more than information for free and am always willing to do so, but I have to earn a living. Please, respect that. Comment here or Email me. I have tuned out almost all questions because of how irresponsibly they have been presented.
    • Everyone wants shit for free. We made shirts – instead of buying them (which we made easy by providing free fucking shipping) people asked for free ones. I would have given them all away if you bothered to comment and ask intelligent questions/provide some info you may be able to contribute. I gave away every single one of my original RELENTLESS Tee’s. That was straight out of my pocket, because I wanted to provde my readers with something, a think you if you will.
    • People are obsessed with the ws4sb template. If my advice strays from it at all – people freak out. I’ve been there. Some of you have been there. The template exactly that, a template. That leaves room for variation, improvement and personalization. If he somehow made a template for what he actually does there it would be longer than a fucking chinese phonebook. Keep that in mind.
    • Everybody eats like a little girl. They change their diet for one day then say they felt fatter the next day. Serious? Leave me alone.
    • I’m working all the time. Literally, always. Morning, Night, Weekend, Always.
    • I am training. Im not making a big deal out of it, and I wont log most of it. But I am training. Because I am going to New Jersey to compete next year. And I want to be my best.

That being said, I got my Focus Food last night. I don’t know that I have tasted anything better. Hard to judge its effectiveness since I got way too beat down at work today to have an effective workout. But damn, it tasted good. I will never discourage anyone to leave comments, ask questions or provide feedback, but please, I post here so ask here. I have a GI nutrition Email so you guys can blow it up and get my mind churning. Your questions often remind me about the basics, or roots, if you will. I enjoy helping others out, but it gets a little ridiculous when people start sourcing forums and shit as resources. Be Smart. Stay Strong.

  • Q n A – Sunday 8/15

Q: Is WS4SB still the best way to go when I want to gain mass and strength? How and where do I tweak it to focus on mass gaining?

A: I’m struggling with how I want to answer this question. The three ws4sb templates are great, but if you go to Defranco’s you will see a few different things.

    • The intensity is on a whole new level. I don’t know any human being that goes to a gym and train harder than I do, outside of Jersey that is. Even I was hunched over about to lose my breakfast after every hour long session. No program will work unless you can really push yourself out of your comfort zone – even ws4sb.
    • The templates are exactly that – templates. That leaves a lot of room for variation, If I attempted to write a template for what I did just in that two weeks at Defranco’s it would be pages long, because there are so many different things to do and effective exercises to try. The key is to avoid doing only the lifts you are good at and like. Be creative – check your ego at the door, and do shit right.
    • More is not better. Seems elementary but get in and out of gym in an hour or less. DO NOT skip your warm up. This shit matters, I promise.

All that being said, yes, if you are going to pick a template and stick to it there is none better than the ws4sb – especially if you want to be strong as shit. I would personally change a few things, but it really is not something you can do willy nilly and expect results. The single best way to gain mass is to eat. Carbs – A lot. Fat – A lot. Protein – A ridiculous amount. Throw in some Ideal Recovery post workout and before bed (i mix mine with PB and Ideal Whey) and watc yourself grow. Try to eat healthy  following Mikey G’s all natural philosophy he recently outlined in his blog.

Q: 3.What do you think about leaning out before gaining mass? It sucks kinda to get even more skinnier while I train..

A: Here is a novel idea – gain mass AND get leaner at the same time. Yes, it’s possible. I landed in New Jersey weighing about 204-206, and as you know if you’re a follower of mine I had been eating kind of shitty before I left for Jersey, so I had a little extra fat on me. My last day training in Jersey I was 215, I made a joke about  being a fatass and Mike G said something a long the lines of “Actually dude, you have leaned out since you’ve been here.” He was right, I was leaner and heavier leaving Jersey than when I got there. If you cant do this I’ll tell you why: you aren’t eating enough. By not eating enough you are not feeding your muscles and your body WILL burn them for fuel, probably sparing some fat. Even at a calorie deficit you won’t lean out the want to. NEVER try to be a a calorie deficit. Eat more and train hard/smart. Buy a prowler and I promise you’ll never get fat, it’s like having bulimia.

    The Prowler Flu:

Q: Does reverse band Bench actually help or is it just an Ego booster? It looks like Joe’s athletes are just cheating to look huge on youtube and stuff.

A: I want to hit you in your ignorant fucking face. Reverse band bench is one of the best ways to get brutally fucking strong without tearing up your shoulders. Think about it, the band(s) are really only making a significant difference at the bottom of the bench movement, where the most stress is placed on the shoulders, by the time you are really pressing with the important muscles (Triceps and Chest) the band hardly makes a difference. That’s all for now, but first; for all you “hardcore” individuals that “know” what’s up I found an article for you :

PS: That article was 100% satirical – if you didn’t catch on please, please, please get the fuck off my blog and never, ever tell anyone you got your info from me. Thanks.
