    Everyone:

It has been sometime since we updated this section of our blog!! There have been some crazy things going on over at TEAM GI headquarters to say the least. So without further ado here is what has been going on with GI Nutrition over the past few months and what is in store for the upcoming months:

-Our badass MMA fighter Rob Leibrock was featured in Excerise for Men Only magazine.

-Heavyweight MMA fighter Chris Barnett (5-0) has joined our team. You can check his website out at www.thebeastboy.com.

-Joe DeFranco, owner of DeFranco’s Training Systems, has partnered with us to bring back the highly demanded DeFranco Bar under the GI brand. We have cleaned up the ingredients, upped the energy, and the taste! Focus Food is set to launch mid to late August…be prepared…..

-Ideal Whey Crazy Chocolate will be back in 2 weeks! As well as all of our products will be relabeled with new and better looking labels!!!

-Ideal Whey and Focus Food are undergoing NSF for Sport Certification. This program is recognized by the NFL, MLB, NCAA, CCES, and WADA. In all, not many products have this certification nor do they meet the specifications and it helps athletes, coaches, trainers, and parents when choosing products that are SAFE and effective.

-UFC Fan Expo..August 27th and 28th in Boston, MA….Come visit us at BOOTH #2230. We’ll have giveaways, promotions, unbelievable prices, as well an opportunity to meet TEAM GI and Joe DeFranco.

I’ll leave it at that for now…We have quite a few more things in the works that we will update everyone on in the next few weeks.

    Stay Strong,

    AK

i hope all of you had a solid weekend.. partyin with your precooked meals at parties and going out to your car at 1215 to get that laast meal in at the bar… its ok i did it too.

but as i promised last week.. today started my 4 week precompetion training. my workout broke down like this..

    MONDAY
    squat
    bar x a bunch
    145
    255
    345
    455
    added briefs
    545
    added suit- straps down
    635
    straps up
    725
straps up + small knee wraps
    755
    added reverse green band
    straps up
    815
    added small knee wraps
905×0 .. missed this halfway up… def going to smoke this shit next week.

after all this work i realized that me and my training partner had be squatting for an hour and a half and i needed a 5 min timeout. so i took a 5 min nap on the mats HA.

after this i got up and did …
    4×8 reverse hypers
    4×15 chest supported rows
    4×10 iso hold db shruggs
    1×30 hip work
    ab work

i needed to take another nap before i drove home ..this one was a little bit longer… around an hour HAHA

hello my little meatheads… as i told you guys before today was my last workout of my deload week.

    it broke down like this:

    45degree back raises 2×20
    glute hams 2×15
    leg ext 2×20
    ad/abductor machine 2×20
    leg curls 2×20
    leg press 2×20
    reverse hypers 2×20
    ab work

as you can see this is a preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeety gay workout. BUT during a true deload week you want to rest up as much as possible while still trying to get some bloodflow into your muscles.

although my training for the week is done i will be around posting about stuff that i feel you guys need to hear and answering any questions you got.

    so until tomorrow- stay big
    chris
